The Origin Story
The seeds of Taarini Trust India were sown by Sanjana Chauhan, a passionate student at Amity International School, who refused to believe that age was a barrier to impact. Sanjana’s journey into social innovation began with a profound realization: many children and artisans in India struggle—not due to a lack of potential, but due to a lack of systems designed to uplift them.
She noticed that while national schemes existed, the last-mile delivery was broken. Thus was born the vision of Taarini—which means “the one who helps others cross over”—to provide a structured platform that builds capacity, clarity, and change for those often left behind.
Today, under her leadership, Taarini Trust India stands as a beacon of youth-driven impact, creating scalable solutions for India’s most complex grassroots challenges.
The Vision
To cultivate a society where every individual, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive through access to quality education & effective governance.
Guiding Lives, Empowering Futures
Is a youth-led non-profit organization committed to transforming the lives of India’s most underserved communities through a unique triad of interventions—rural leadership development and employment. Rooted in the belief that lasting change begins at the grassroots, Taarini empowers individuals not just with services, but with the tools, knowledge, and support systems to become changemakers within their communities.
Through its two flagship programs—Mini-MBA for Sarpanchs and Women Self Help Group —Taarini delivers impactful, research-backed solutions that intersect education & governance. From training village leaders in transparent governance, to giving a livelihood to the underserved community , the Trust works at the frontlines of systemic gaps.
Taarini is driven by a simple but powerful vision: a future where every individual, regardless of their starting point, has the chance to lead a life of dignity, opportunity, and purpose.
